I haven't found out why they can't make their system focus and set exposure from the imaging sensor, like any point-and-shoot digicam can do, but I imagine it would be more of a challenge to get both systems to produce matching results that didn't reveal flaws in one or the other. I really had to work to get it to focus, and my little models didn't stay still for long. I was pretty partial to the E-500's power switch on the top deck just behind the shutter button, so I'm a little less excited about the power switch jutting out from the back of the E-410.Yet, the Olympus 770SW is small enough to be extremely portable.
